Playful, bold, and wonderfully unexpected; The Soy Sauce Fish celebrates the everyday objects we take for granted whilst putting a spotlight on their impact to our environment.
Part of my Small Things, Big Impact collection, this piece highlights the humble soy sauce fish; a tiny plastic item that’s become iconic in takeaway culture, yet contributes significantly to single-use plastic waste. By enlarging it, honouring it, and placing it front and centre, this print invites viewers to reflect on our throwaway habits while still enjoying a moment of nostalgia and fun.
Each print is pulled by hand, giving it a beautiful, tactile quality with subtle variations that make every piece unique. Crisp blue-black ink contrasts strikingly against the red with premium cotton rag paper, showcasing the fine carving marks and graphic details that bring these tiny plastic icons to life at a grand scale.
